I was an English major in college. That meant long, lazy days of fun… no exams, no labs… sharing thoughts on why the tree in the twelfth chapter was a willow and not an oak…
It also meant no job. Luckily, I spun myself enough to get a good gig or two (interspersed with some crazy ones too). But I always wondered what life would have been like if I made a pure play – if I had tried to become a full-time writer.
I believe that I’ll still be able to make a run at writing a novel, or even win a column somewhere, but until that day, when I move my macbook to the Portugese countryside or a loft in Manhattan, I’ll keep blogging away.
Writing, editing, clicking… publishing.
…From the floor of my living room.
And I leave you with: Font Conference.

If you want to make a go of writing a novel, why not do the NaNoWriMo.org challenge in November? Seriously, it’s fun (in a nerdy way), and it’s a cool accomplishment.
